Scientific Theory- A big plot that's described by observaions and is supported by many evidence. Theories are considered the greatest achievement in science.
Hypothesis- A statement used when scientists want to test something they have concluded, using if and then. Even if a hypothesis is correct, doesn't mean it is true.
Variables- Dependent-The variable you're measuring Independent- A variable you can control Manipulated- Same as dependent variable, because it can be changed Responding- Same as independent variable, because it responds to change
Controlled Experiment- An experiment same as another, but the condition of one experiment is being tested. Example: Two tanks of fish. One tank is given food (experimental), the other is given no food (controlled).
Repeatability- Making an experiment able to be repeated with the same results.
Data- Quantitative- numerical data Qualitative- non-numerical data
Historical Evidence- Examining things by looking at things from the past.
